substitutes

there was no baking soda, buttermilk or cider vinegar..... and finally, no lemon. so.... trying out a recipe for a velvet cake for the first time was a little risky. But, the end result was unexpectedly satisfying.

here are the 'substitutes'': Baking soda - extra baking powder
Buttermilk - milk + lemon juice
                                          Cider vinegar - lemon juice
by a lucky chance, there was a small tree outside that had these cute little lemons and my final problem was solved. 😄

all thanks should go to that little gift from nature....

being someone who's still recovering from depression, it's not easy to keep a positive persona at all times. sometimes i breakdown.. get angry and moody... feel uncertain and ask for constant reassurance... for an outsider, it may actually seem quite irritating. but all the time i'm simply praying that nobody should ever feel this hurt. No one deserves to feel they're not good enough. but by some chance, i walked in to that corner and god, it's not a place anyone should ever venture to.

Christmas cards

feel so happy to share our hand-crafted greeting cards...
we make them every year but this is the first time they (the cards) had a 'world premiere'.
(well, sort of) 😄

Was making cards to send for our relatives and family-friends. While doing so, I made this list.

Things you need to make (Christmas) greeting cards...
  • colored paper
  • paint
  • pencil, eraser etc.
  • glitter
  • glue
  • pair of scissors
  • brushes
  • time to spare
  • your imagination
Tip: the end result may vary with amount of last two ingredients available...

Be Creative :)

my final post about BBC Sherlock

This will be the final post about Sherlock.

(Please view the new trailer for season 4-(released on 2016/12/10) to understand the contents below. Thank you)

I've a feeling that Mycroft's story won't continue after this series. In fact, I fear that Sherlock himself, is going to be the only Holmes left alive at the end. And, Culverton Smith's threat about 'let them know your darkest secret' can be towards anyone; Mary, Mycroft, Sherlock.. etc.
And whatever 'end' they (the producers) have created, better be 'the happy end' for quite a long time...

The journey with our dearest detective, Sherlock; his change from being 'great' to 'good' was epic. But all good things must come to an end; and in my opinion, BBC Sherlock always belonged to that category.

p.s. just wanted to add that little Miss Molly Hooper is... NOT the sugary, sweet lab assistant, who is (sometimes seen) making puppy-eyes at the beautiful, amazing (and gay) master-mind.

Speaking as a Sherlock fan~ "Nobody deserves to be the one who is always losing, to feel that they're 'not good enough'. There's got to be hope somewhere for us to hold on to, to believe that we are worth something in this world. If anybody tries to block out that tiny ray of sunshine, they are just digging their own grave. We (the people) deserve a happy ending..... and so does Sherlock."

try to avoid the zone of 'enjoying yourself too much'. Moderation is the key to real happiness....

You know those people who are constantly degrading you, and being unkind and offensive to you..? Treat them with pity and silence.

Because if not for them, you won't be getting such a wonderful opportunity to let the world see your amazing personality......  ðŸ˜‰

waiting for a sign that gives a promise for tomorrow,
a hint that'd just tell me the path i chose was not wrong....

for i only ever wanted to feel like everyone else and be a part of the world; not an outsider, looking in......

"Moon river, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style, some day.
Oh dream-maker, you heart-breaker,
Wherever you're going, I'm going your way.

Two drifters, off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end - waiting round the bend,
My Huckleberry friend,
Moon river and me."

~Audrey Hepburn (Breakfast at Tiffany's, 1961)

~"Silence is golden".....~

This doesn't mean being silent and not saying /anything/. It means, saying just enough to explain your ideas without elaborating on all the tiny details.

In my opinion, this concept applies very well to one's future plans.....
